Welcome to the first of a continuous series of monthly blogs detailing the progress of Leeds Beckett University’s Centre for Governance, Leadership and Global Responsibility in its efforts to become ‘PRME-D’.
PRME (Principles of Responsible Management Education) is a UN initiative aimed to ‘inspire and champion responsible management education research and leadership globally, through a series of value based principles.
The Faculty of Business and Law has recently become a signatory of PRME and so the ‘Centre’ seeks to become both the ambassador and the embodiment of PRME at Leeds Beckett University.
As such, the ‘Centre’ needs to get ‘PRMED-D’. The D being the ‘doing’ meaning, as guardians of the FBL signature we are at the forefront of the integration and initiation of PRME into the faculty, curriculum and into our wider stakeholder relationships.
The next 12 months will see a wide variety of initiatives and projects directed toward our aim of responsible pedagogy and practice. We look forward to updating you next month after our visit to the PRME UK conference in Glasgow and on our exciting Student led project on the ‘perspectives of PRME’.
