We have set up this blog to take the discussion of our centre (CGLGR) further and to a wider audience and readership. Also to promote and encourage a healthy debate and discussion around the main topics and streams of our centre.
Our main objectives are to bring together leading research, teaching and consultancy which integrates theory and value in practice, working alongside corporate and public bodies. The blog reflects out passion for the subject and how much we would like to contribute to the whole debate of transparency responsibility and integrity in leadership and governance.
William Sun and I (Simon Robinson) along all the rest of our crew will be contributing and encouraging challenging conversation across all sectors, stimulating an ongoing public debate about the nature and practice of responsibility.
This blog is built on the same ethos and aims as our Centre for Governance, Leadership and Global Responsibility, which are to :
- Develop high quality research across corporate, public, professional and voluntary sectors, in partnership with those sectors, about the meaning, values and practice of responsibility in governance and leadership. This includes reporting of social responsibility.
- Research the relationship of responsibility to employability attributes and skills, and develop approaches to teaching which integrate the different aspects of responsibility.
- Work with the corporate, public, professional and voluntary sectors in staff development and consultancy, particularly around board development, and the development of cultures or responsibility.
- Promote ongoing dialogue between the different sectors about governance, leadership and responsibility.
Hope you find the reading enriching and also can contribute to the whole debate.
Best Regards,
Simon Robinson
